Week Six: not so many pictures!

Well, I am half way through my 12 week course, and pleased so far with my progress.
Meals this week have been more or less the same as before, though I’ve had a couple of different dishes:

Top left: pork chop with new potatoes in their jackets, green beans, carrot and peas.
Top right: poached eggs and mushrooms on toast (one slice)
Bottom left: 3 (small) egg mushroom omelette with stir fried plum tomatoes and cucumber.
Bottom right: spaghetti bolognese (5% lean minced beef) and sprinkle of cheddar

I had a disaster in the kitchen one evening preparing another mushroom omelette (they were on special offer but didn’t keep very well which is probably why), and everything just went mushy! I couldn’t get it out of the pan, and when I did manage to lift it, it just fell apart, so I had a mushroom mess, totally unworthy of a picture, but it tasted OK!

Above left: had to have one dessert, this is strawberries with gingernut biscuits and yoghurt topped with a granola cluster
Above right: toasted mushroom salad sandwich

Since Thursday, I’ve tried to pull it back and keep on track for my pound loss.
The next few weeks are going to be extra hard as we are home for three consecutive weeks so I know what the darts supper is likely to be. I’ll plan ahead as best I can, keeping my syns to a minimum during the day and not go out hungry.

So, did I or didn’t I ?

No loss but no gain, so staying the same is OK, if a little disappointing.
