FOWC with Fandango — Gratis

Fandango’s word today is “gratis.”

Gratis: free, without charge.
They say the best things in life are free. Somehow saying the best things in life are gratis doesn’t quite have the same ring about it.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

True, Di. But the sentiment is true. Bthe best things in life ARE free.

    • They are there to be appreciated

I can’t express myself well any more lol. But it is so sad that so many look to material things for satusfaction.

      • So much can be missed, especially in Nature.

I know. Perhaps there mire than anywhere

Have you been flooded Di? We heard about it but don’t know how near to it you are.

      • Bless you Lorraine for your concern.
Wainfleet is about 24 miles away and are three metres above sea level compared to us at just one metre. Wainfleet has a minimum of 2 metres, maximum of 4, with an average of 3.
Our town is minimum elevation MINUS 2 metres, maximum 28 metres, average 1.
However, we have the sea and tides whereas they have the River Steeping which has burst its banks and 550 homes have been evacuated now.
Our property is actually at the highest point here, and the flood defences are being pretty well maintained. I’m just putting a post out.

Great. Will read it later. On way out. My phone sometimes works for me sometimes not lol.

      • Have a pleasant and relaxing trip

You’re right. It doesn’t have the same ring to it!
