Can’t settle today

I had a bad night last night, ate too much probably which triggered my reflux so at 12.47 I was sucking on ant-acids and doing suduko. I was exhausted, but couldn’t lie down as everything kept swimming, some of it from my stomach!
It’s OK, I won’t dwell.
I finally got to sleep I guess around 3.30, and was awake again just after 5. Maggie was snoring gently and in a deep sleep, so I lay there and dozed.

It’s been a funny day today and I can’t seem to settle to anything. We got up around 8 and did the usual things like breakfast, housework and a bit of shopping.
We have a pile of washing to do but can’t do it and get it out on the line because of the weather and some of the stuff can’t be put in a tumble drier anyway.
I couldn’t get into blogging because the internet was erratic, and when I did, I had so much to catch up on, it took an age. I’m sure I’ve missed some posts somewhere along the line, and haven’t put much out today. I don’t seem to have much inspiration, yet not that long ago I was punching out 6 to 9 posts a day! Unlike the weather, I’m going through a dry spell.

Our neighbour’s son and family returned home today and rang our bell to say goodbye. We’ve promised to look after his Mum and be on hand should she have any problems.
Her other son is in mid flight from Australia and should arrive here on Sunday. It has been lovely to see the family on both sides come together and be there for her.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I hope youโ€™re feeling better now? I was missing you and your posts. Sometimes itโ€™s good to take a break. Sudoku is good for taking the mind off the stomach issues.

We all have days like that…fortunately my last two days have been very productive between setting up the new WP blog and getting some flash fiction writing. I need to get as many posts written for now through the end of July since that entire month my goal is to finish the first draft of my next book during Camp NaNoWri Mo.

Take care of you Di….the words will return, some days can be like you describe.

  5. I hope you are feeling better by now. Advice into the dry spell. Step away, so something entirely different. I mean really different. Then face that computer straight on. All of a sudden, that break will pay off. Good luck!!!

Some days… I had to take migraine meds myself and am very spaced out. Blah.
