What do you See? June 11/2019

Please check out Hélène’s post on how to participate in this week’s challenge here

They are fools. Did they think I needed my eyes to see their petty ways?
I stand above them, looking down on people no more the size of ants, they whose forefathers worshipped me.
But times change, the old ways fragmented and replaced by confusion, hostility and greed.
They could not face me and the truth I represented, yet rather than destroy me, they took my face away, smashed it on the rocks before lifting me here out of sight of their guilt.
But I too evolved, and clasped in my hands is the All Seeing Eye which foretells their self destruction. My laughter will echo for centuries as they will have nothing left, and certainly no saviour this time around.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
