This week Frank has given us the theme of Road for our challenge.
We certainly had our fair share of interesting roads when we were house hunting both in 2007 and 2017. Some literally just went to where the sign post (if any) said and one had a cliff face on one side and sheer drop on the other, was single track with only a few passing places, and yep, you’ve guessed it, we meet something coming the other way!
Nice thing about being in a boat on the river, there are no roads to navigate, though naturally you have bridges and bends, plus the occasional lock or so!
Back on dry land, in February we had a burst water main and the road was flooded.
The water board were out digging the road up within an hour of us reporting it and continued through the night.
The road was closed to traffic, but someone moved the traffic cones just enough to get their van through and so everyone thought to follow suit.
A week later, everything was filled in, a neat tidy patch in the road duly sealed, and all is well.
