Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “open book, point, write.” Pick up the closest book to you when you sit down to write your post. Close your eyes, open the book, and place your finger on the page. Whatever word or phrase your finger lands on, write about it. Enjoy!
My book is a puzzle book! I have a crossword on one page and the one opposite has a word search, with the title ‘Vocalise.’ This is the format throughout the book, which is a bit of a disappointment as I thought there was more variety inside.
The list of 26 words to find includes bark, laugh, chime, yell, whistle, thunder, moan, rumble and chuckle, which can be found diagonally, up, down, backwards, or forwards.
The clues for the crosswords include a film title, singer, a late comedian, actor, song title, and a hubbub of other things, but no anagrams in this one.
The answers are at the back, and for some of the previous puzzles, they don’t coincide with my idea of the clue given!
The other book I have by the side of my bed is a Suduko book. That too has answers at the back, and consists of puzzles at five different levels of difficulty. I can usually manage up to level 4, but get in a right mess with the hardest!
