FOWC with Fandango — Humdrum

Fandango has given us Humdrum as our word today.

I often think my life is humdrum, I mean we don’t seem to do much, and one day is pretty much the same as the next. We don’t do holidays, or visit folk, nor do we go to the cinema, though I do have my darts, and now Slimming World every week.

First thing is letting Maggie out which can be between 6am and 7.30.
The time we actually get up varies, then it’s wash/shower, get dressed and have breakfast.
We take Maggie out for her first walk anytime between 9 and 10, if we aren’t heading towards the door by 10am, she lets us know we should be!
Then as I’m preparing lunch, Hubby pushes Henry.

We have field trips to do shopping, always stopping off en route to give Maggie a potty break either in the picnic area if we go one way or by the lake if we go the other.
We may have something to eat out, but usually not now.
Once home, it’s on the laptop to check emails and our respective blogs.

Our walks are lovely though, always different, with the beach and park on our doorstep.
It may all be routine, but I wouldn’t change it. We are together and that’s what’s most important.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
