Willow here has tagged me for this challenge, one that I’ve seen but never participated in!
Sorry, my title should be Weekly Song Challenge but I’ll lose the URL if I change it
(PC crashed halfway through preparing)
Time once again for Laura Venturini’s Weekly Song Challenge! Here, as always, are the rules:
Copy rules and add to your own post, pinging back to this post.
Post music videos for your answers to the musical questions.
Tag two people to participate!
Post a video of a song that makes you think of the true meaning of Memorial Day.
Being in the UK, we don’t have a Memorial Day as such, though our month for Remembrance is November.
I’ve chosen Elvis and a song that never fails to reduce me to tears.
Post a video of a song that has the word war in title or lyrics.
I’ve picked Two Tribes by Frankie Goes to Hollywood from 1983.

Post a video of a song that is part of a movie soundtrack that had something to do with war.
For this section I’ve picked Buffalo Springfield’s ‘Stop Children what’s that sound’ from the opening credits of Lord of War

Tagging two now, and I wonder if
would like to participate? No obligation.
As Fandango’s One Word Challenge today is also War, I am including his prompt here also.
Though not an Elvis fan, ( puts up shield for protection) the American Trilogy is a great choice, a gut wrenching tear jerker. Two tribes fantastic ahead if it’s time and still relevant today. As for Stop Children What’s That Sound …pure genius. That showed your computer who’s boss! 😃💜
I wasn’t really a fan either, though bought several of his singles 1968-72. I remember Freddie Starr singing this as Elvis on The Des O’Connor show over 30 years ago and I cried as he sang it straight. This live performance is amazing (tissue in hand)
Yes indeed 💜
Nice!!! Glad to have you join in!! ❤️
Thanks Laura
