Weather ’tis nobler in the mind

Or just pi 55 ing us off, damn typical.
We woke up to a beautifully sunny day, stripped the beds and got the washing on.
An hour later, the second load is in, and we were hanging out the first when it started to rain.
Showers were forecast for this afternoon!!!!!
Ho hum.
Up to the launderette we shall go then off shopping for boots, printing ink and steak.

I’m actually looking forward to the latter, haven’t had a steak for ages. Come to think of it, I haven’t actually COOKED one for even longer!!!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

haha This happens to me too! I double check the weather forecast and the sky – and it waits to drizzle until I have finished hanging out every last sock! 😀
I am in two minds then – cross because I have to bring all the washing in and hang it on maidens, but also glad for Any rain! 🙂

There were a number of reasons why I emigrated to Canada, and one was the weather in the Lincs/Northants/Cambs area! No joke (and nor was the weather)! 🙂

    • It’s lovely and sunny now! The weather forecast has been a wind up today, though we did have some rain when we were out. All done and dusted now, and Hubby is cutting the grass!

  3. Oh, the thunder is starting up again now. Sigh.
How I miss those sun dried sheets from childhood. Nothing is as nice at the end of a day.
Hope sunny skies return for you soon!
