- Was the last thing you read digital or print?
Ah: it was the news headlines on my laptop. Does that count as both?
- Are you more an extrovert or introvert?
Ah 2 D2: I have my days of both, but although I’m content to join in conversations and be a bit of laugh, I also like to sit on the sidelines and people watch.
- How is your life different from what you imagined as a younger person?
Very different! I’d hoped for being married once, having at least 6 kids and being a housewife with a part time job!
Reality: Divorced and remarried, , no kids apart from those I fostered and Partner’s 2 (not my ex-husband), I’ve been driving for over 40 years (never entered my head as a youngster), I sort of had a career in the bank, and I blog!
- Do you think about dying? Does death scare you? Why or why not?
Yes and No.
I’m getting on, as is everything and everyone I know. I wake up in the morning and won’t be surprised to find Maggie forever sleeping beside me. It’s the best I could possibly wish for her. I worry about being left on my own, then worry about leaving the ones I love on their own, so I can’t have it both ways.
Death doesn’t scare me, more the means of my exit, which I hope will be quick, painless and I know nothing about it. Once I start something, I don’t like to hang around.
Gratitude Bonus Question: Who has been the kindest to you in your life?
I have been fortunate to experience and receive kindness many times in my life. But if there is anyone who deserves this accolade, it has to be the two ladies at the bus stop who held me when I cried the day we were told I didn’t need chemo.
