Daisy and Donald were two ceramic figures dating back to the 1930s.
Donald thought he looked very dashing with his mask and that The Lone Ranger TV show had stolen his idea.
Daisy laughed and said he was given it to hide his natural squint which came about during his firing.
Daisy herself wasn’t perfect either, having a bad touch up job on her left shoulder making her jacket look like a patched lawn.
‘What do you make of this then?’ Donald asked, standing in front of a spoked wheel.
‘I always fancied riding a uni-cycle. Gonna join me?’
‘It’s not an uni-cycle you idiot. It’s a penny farthing. Haven’t you seen the rest of it?’
Donald looked round and cast his masked eyes upwards.
‘Oh my!’ he said. ‘Not a chance of getting you to ride pillion on it then.’
