Moon, lawns, dartboards and DIY

Neither of us slept that brilliantly last night, and today saw us putting in another 12 hour working day, though I didn’t spend it all in or helping Hubby in the kitchen.
Instead, I did some work outside, and CUT THE GRASS!
Yep. I got the mower out as Hubby was doing something I couldn’t help him with, and cut both the front and back lawns. It took me well over an hour, but I’m really pleased with the result, as this is the first time I’ve done it all on my own since we’ve been here.

As the kitchen has been out of commission, we had our main meal early evening from the chippy yesterday, and today I went up to the bakers and got a couple of fresh rolls made up.
I was also after a couple of other things for the kitchen, but couldn’t find what I wanted, but on the way to the bakers, I noticed our sports shop is closing down.
Damn! I got my darts there and all my spare stems and flights, so I went in and bought a couple of other sets. I asked him if he had any dart boards which he did and offered me  good deal, so I’ve bought one. Early Us Anniversary present. Hubby was pleased when I came home (as well as hungry). I also got Maggie a sausage roll and pushed her meds inside. Last dose today and she polished them off OK.

Poor girl has been an absolute gem and not bothered us when we’ve been working.
She spent most of the time outside with me, and when I watered the garden, decided to lie on the hose.  That could have been ‘explosive’ so I had to shift her, but she didn’t seem to mind. It’s been glorious here today.
We took her for a walk just after 7pm (not her first I might add, but her third) and just look at this moon!!

As for the DIY?
It’s done.
I’ve just got to get some baskets or washing up bowls for the cupboards to put things in like we did on the boat. It was surprising what we found at the back, and so many of some things because I didn’t think we had any, so I’m going to get organised storage instead of throw it all in. Shopping trip tomorrow!
Oh, you want to know how it looks?

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
