One Liner Wednesday: 10th April

‘Quick, before it drops out!’

One of our lady players was well on form last night and scoring over 50 most of the time.
She and her partner wanted 10, but she is quite tiny so anything at the top of the board requires a ‘lob’ for her.
She hit the spotlight, and the dart bounced neatly into double 5 but was precariously balanced with the point of the dart just embedded in the board. It has to stick in for it to count.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I am not familiar with darts, but I played it once without knowing the rules and …. won !!

  2. Dan Antion says:

That’s great! I hope it stayed long enough to be counted.

  3. Laurie says:

Playing darts is always so much fun! Great story; I hope you won!

    • The match was a draw, and although I got a winning double, I lost the pairs game 2 – 1.
Never mind. I was pleased with the way I played so the practice is paying off.
