The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS March 30/19

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “dough/d’oh.” Use one, use both, use ’em any way you like. Enjoy!
I’ve only made bread a couple of times, one of which was at school and getting to grips with yeast and letting the dough rise wasn’t as straight forward as was suggested in the recipe books. My school attempt was passable, I made a plait loaf, but my home efforts, well, let’s just say I stood a good chance of making a garden rockery, though I had lovely soft hands!
I’ve had my fair share of d’oh moments too like wondering why the kettle isn’t boiling when it’s not switched on at the socket, or not noticing when my late brother in law shaved his bushy beard off.
I like to think of my major (or minor) d’ohs as CRAFT moments, though some people refer to them as ‘blonde’.
As I have never been, nor wish to be, a blonde, I’ll stick with CRAFT.
For those of you not familiar with the term, it stands for
Can’t Remember A Flipping Thing.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! Due to a nightmare of a house sale in 2014, 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat until April 2017. We made strong friendships both on and off the water, and enjoyed swan and duck families for neighbours. Sadly times change and we now reside in a small bungalow a short distance from the beach on the Lincolnshire coast.

    A nice lighthearted post.

  2. I am blonde and like to wear pink and flowers. It is very deceiving to people who don’t know me. I love bread making and find the action of yeast quite fascinating.

  3. The Hook says:

    CRAFT?
    That’s pretty clever.
    I live a very crafty life myself…
