David Baldacci wrote the book Absolute Power, which was made into a film starring Gene Hackman, Clint Eastwood and Ed Harris.
The book was, IMO, far better than the film, but it brings home the saying Absolute Power corrupts, they who hold office believe they are above the law and can get whatever they want simply because they ask for it.
I don’t do politics in my blog. That doesn’t mean I bury my head, and like a good little soldier, I vote when necessary. But with recent events here in the UK, the country is going down the pan with the biggest turds imaginable (IMO).
And it is a question of Power.
BREXIT ain’t gonna happen. TSHTF and nobody has the balls to mop up. Talks are going round in circles over a printed unamended script and getting nowhere.
We are due to leave on the 29th March. The headlines are saying EU leaders will be asked for an extension. They are clapping their hands in glee at the prospect of bleeding the UK dry with conditions of penalties and red tape that could shackle us to their apron strings for years, if not decades.
This was the power of the people in June 2016 which has now been betrayed.
