Many thanks to Sadje at Keep It Alive who has kindly nominated me for this.
The rules of the Versatile Blogger Award are as follows:
1. If you are nominated, Congratulations you have been awarded the Versatile blogger award!
2. Thank the person who gave you the award and include a link to their blog.
3. Select 10 -15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly.
4. Nominate those bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award.
5. Tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.
Nominations for awards are always a stumbling block for me. There are so many excellent blogs in WP, many of which have already been nominated for this award, and well deservedly too.
However, I would still like to nominate the following (including a couple of duplications I’m aware of):
Keith’s Ramblings
Billy Mac @ Superman can’t find a phone booth (a recent one for me)
The lovely Reena
Sadje has also nominated Bereavedsingledad blog
Paula from Light Motifs II
Teresa aka The Haunted Wordsmith
Tom at Slumdog Soldier
Melanie of Sparks from a Combustible Mind who nominated Sadje
Butterfly sand
Dale @ future daze ( he does some awesome paintings)
and
Suze @ Suziland
I also include all of my regular readers, many of which are award free sites.
As for seven things about me:
I tend to post a lot (I hear you all cry “you think???”)
I still prefer writing and receiving letters via snail mail.
I had two poems published in a book called Poems for the Open Mind way back in the 1980s. Can’t find a record of it anywhere, and the copy I gave to my parents is probably long gone.
My favourite car was my 1988 Yugo 55A.
I hate having my photograph taken.
My first pet was a budgie called Whistler (slow worms and lizards don’t count).
I once dated a Hell’s Angel.
Once again, thanks to Sadje for nominating me.
Congratulations Di. I LOVE the things you tell us about yourself lol. Good luck with the nomination
Thanks Lorraine. Most of ‘Me’ is in my blog somewhere, so finding something someone might not know is a challenge!
Lol. I found it interesting anyway x
Congratulations 🎈🎊A lovely post. Loved reading a bit more about you.
Thank you, and thanks again for the nomination.
You’re most welcome.
congratulations..you have my idea of what a truly versatile blog is..and I just dangled a danged participial! dag nab it…thanks so much for the honor of a nomination. I will try to get to this tonight.
You’re welcome Suze. Yours is varied too.
Congratulations 🎉
Thank you!
Congratulations! I was just saying to someone the other day how amazing it must feel to wait for and receive letters in the mail! Plus the added charm of handwritten letters ..
I write to some of our boating friends every couple of months or so using some of the cards I make as they’re prettier than ordinary paper.
You’ve given me an idea to surprise some of my friends by mailing them letters ….
I’m sure they’ll be thrilled. I miss writing to my Mum, even though I knew I wouldn’t get a reply.
Awww! I know what you mean. But somehow just the thought of writing to her must feel like she’s still with you. 🙂
We often comment on things Mum would have liked when we’re out for a drive. Lots of silly things will trigger a memory of her and my Dad so they are never far away.
That’s so true! Everything around us is a reminder about their existence. Much love xx
you too. ❤
