The Phenomenal Museum boasted this was a preserved foot of an animal circa two thousand years ago that stood about fifty feet tall and had scales rather than fur or feathers. On a much smaller scale, it’s nearest relative today would probably be a chicken.
The scene was replicated from drawings and writings found, the buildings under its talon believed to be a nesting site erected by natives in the hope of an easy food source, as each egg would feed a family of 12.
What they didn’t take into account was the creature’s amazing sense of smell, which more than compensated for its poor eyesight.
The tables were turned, and the natives became food for the hatchlings.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  5. Thank you for the challenge but I am not able to take part properly, I think people think I’m joking when I say I have no idea how to do computer stuff. I have no idea how to tag people nor how to put my text with your picture. Sadly the best I can offer is my 148 words in your comment box. You may be able to tell that I write children’s books, except I leave the swearing out of those! There was once an old house in the woods with moss on its North side.
It was said that a very wicked witch lived there and the rumours grew and grew until finally the people of the village became so angry they went to the house to drive the witch away.
They shouted and threw stones and broke all the windows in the house, when all of a sudden a tiny little old lady emerged swearing like a trooper.
The villagers were amazed, “F off you stupid bunch of idiots,” she shouted. “You’ve ruined my house, what the hell are you playing at?”
It was at this point that the villagers realised they had made a tragic mistake for she was just an old lady.
They were so sorry they built her a new house in the village which is why her old house looks like this today.
