Here are today’s dozen from Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie.

1. Please
2. Cloth
3. Branch
4. Perturbation
5. Dangle
6. Folly
7. Attractancy (n)) the capacity of, especially of a pheromone, to attract)
8. Bolt
9. Treasure
10. Proceed
11. Courtyard
12. Place

The vibrant bush had pride of place in her Ladyship’s courtyard.
It exuded the maximum attractancy as birds, butterflies and bees were constant visitors to its branches which dangled delicately to dip into the ornamental pond.
However, the folly of the gardener’s son proceeded to cause perturbation when he waved a cloth in front of the new puppy causing it to bolt, landing head first in the treasured bush.
Obviously her Ladyship was far from pleased.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. Succinct but wonderful. That’s what I like about your writing. I am trying to learn that.
