Well, it’s arrived, but maybe not in the copious amount we were led to expect.
Yep. We have snow.
The white stuff started last night and has trickled in overnight, but we just have a dusting really. It would appear that it was a stop start affair as the car was covered with an ice sandwich, that being a layer of snow, then a layer of ice topped with another layer of snow.
Not much on the agenda today other than an appointment at the surgery for Hubby.
The roads might be ‘interesting’ if last year was anything to go by.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Yep. We got it too! We have had to be got out lol
We’ve had a secondary burst, but it’s not pitched. Unlike last year when everywhere was white, even the beach!
Oh lol. The beach! Well our road is treacherous right now! We had our gardener and handyman come to put grit on our drive, and all over the road, but could only do a little but so the rest of the road, which goes downhill to get out of here, is treacherous! And we don’t even live in the wilds of nowhere! We live in a built up TOWN!
Here’s our beach in Nov 2017

Without wishing to sound too self centred I have to say I am delighted to report we have no snow down south where us namby-pamby southern softies live and long may it continue I say for we are not cut out for winter weather, we can barely cope with a breeze and some light drizzle!
How far South are you? We used to get some pretty cold spells in my home town.
We are very lucky in that we live in Hatfield Heath, Hertfordshire which is in a slightly protected parts of the country, we can be lucky and avoid the weather when around us is worse, however not all the time! I’ve probably shot myself in the foot with my last statement and later in the week we will be caught in five foot snow drifts, I certainly hope not.
We used to watch the weather go round us both on the boat and when we lived in Lincolnshire before. Now we just see it coming in from the sea! It’s not all bad though, just the wind is bitter as you’d expect at this time of year.
As you can tell we are very much fair weather people, we can’t wait for the winter to be over and it hasn’t really started yet!
We don’t like the cold much either, but as long as we can get warm, we’re OK. The boat was very cosy.
I’m surprised I was led to believe they could be quite damp and chilly. Nice to know they are not.
We had full central heating on board, but no log burner as many of the other narrow boats had. In the winter, the biggest bugbear was condensation, but we developed a way to ‘double glaze’ our windows and made sure we had plenty of ventilation.
Sounds very civilised.
The boat was extremely well equipped and so much built into a small space.
