Fandango responded to a Tell a Story challenge and his follow on picture was this from Austin Poon at Unsplash.com. :
He threw the challenge open, and I thought why not? I’m enjoying doing these at the moment, but as I wasn’t nominated, there won’t be more nominees or another photo following my effort.
The office was eerily silent and suspiciously tidy.
Hugo didn’t have a tidy gene in his body, so none of it made any sense.
Hugo was renown for cryptic messages, and this was no exception.
Marta, his secretary, was concerned and called her superiors.
Director Miles Towie and Jonathan Howarth the CEO stood in the centre of the room and took it all in.
The clues were all on the window cill overlooking the city.
‘I think I’ve got it.’ Miles said.
‘OK. Let’s hear it,’ said the CEO.
‘The screen saver suggests he’s had enough of the city and needs a holiday.
Leaving his watch suggests no time frame for his absence, the headset that nobody listens to him, and his phone that he doesn’t want to be contacted. I’m not too sure about his wallet though. It just has the company credit card in it.’
Marta came in holding a letter in shaking fingers.
‘This just arrived in the internal mail,’ she said, handing it to the CEO.
‘Hm,’ he said.
‘Miles? You’re pretty close in your evaluation. You might like to read this….’
Miles couldn’t believe the two words on the sheet………
‘I QUIT.’
Thanks for jumping in, Di. Great interpretation of the picture.
