Tuesday Photo Challenge – Gentle

How can I not write about Maggie for Frank’s challenge this week?

OK, I’ve cheated and used two photos, left is Christmas and right is April 2018, but the theme is the same………. Maggie and her babies.
She is so gentle with them, tucking them around her either on her own bed or ours, and she snuggles in. Heaven help us if one falls off and she can’t find it in the dark, though we have some PIR battery lights now so that she can see where she’s going.

She has never chewed, even as a puppy, and apart from being a bit soggy and smelly sometimes (all are washable), her toys are as good as the day she was given them. She also uses them to get the message across if she wants to go out and we don’t take any notice.
A baby will gently be pushed either into our line of vision or on to our laps as she presents herself and sits patiently waiting…….. something like this!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  3. So sweet! My Gabby loves her babies, too. Unlike Maggie, she has to remove the squeakers and then she doesn’t chew them anymore.

    • Hi Susan. Thanks for the follow and welcome to pensitivity101
Maggie likes the squeakers, her babies talk to her then. It’s quite funny as she noses them until they squeak and then she’s content.
      What breed is your Gabby?
