Mystery Blogger Nomination

Many thanks to Sadje for nominating me for this, one I had also been nominated for before (Feb 2018).

The Mystery Blogger Award  is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion.’ Okoto Enigma

The Rules :

1. Put the award logo/image on your blog.
2. List the rules.
3. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link back to their blog.
4. Answer the 5 questions from the blogger who nominated you.
5. Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well.
6. Tell your readers 3 things about yourself.
7. You have to nominate 10 – 20 people.
8. Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog.
9. Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify).
10. Share a link to your best post(s).

Sadje’s questions are:

If life offered a redo, what part of it will you want to change?
I would like to go back to the time I shared my helicopter ride experience with my Dad when he was in hospital. I’d wrap my arms around him, hold him tight and tell him how much I loved him.

Can you remember what was the one thing you hated about school?
The teachers. They were all out for me because I wasn’t as good as my sister at sports or languages.

Growing up, what was your dream profession/job?
Working in a bank. I did it, both in the High Street and later as an analyst for an American Bank.

If you met your English teacher today, what would be her opinion about your blog?
My, how your spelling has improved!

Would you rather be the frog prince/ princess or the ugly duckling?
The ugly duckling, as I wouldn’t have to rely on some idiot kissing me to look better.

Three things about me (that people possibly don’t know already)

I had an eighteen inch waist in my late teens.
I won the three-legged race at junior school with my best friend at the time.
I cried when my first effort at roast potatoes failed miserably.

I always fall down on nominees and this one asks for 10 -20 people, so I will have to pass on rules 7 and 8.

However, if anyone would like to answer my five questions, they would be:

What would you rather be, a jigsaw puzzle, painting, or mirror?

Do you prefer cats or dogs (or something else) as a pet?

How old were you when you left your parental home?

What do you find the most relaxing:
birdsong, rippling water in a stream, the wind in the trees or rain?

If you could drive any vehicle, what would it be?

As for my best post, that is open to debate, but I was rather pleased with these:

A Dog for Christmas
Daddy’s Little Girl
The Good Old Days
Melancholy Abecedarium

Thanks again to Sadje for thinking of me. I appreciate it.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Having been an English teacher in my past life I can understand your dislike of them, we could be such a pedantic lot.

    • I had it from French German and PE as well as the English teachers. Mind you, one was glad to have me follow in Sis’s footsteps to become a librarian. Music was a different matter, but they didn’t know (or care) about that. ho hum.

  3. I love your answer about your dad and the helicopter ride. ❤ Congrats on the award. 🙂

    • Thank you. Hubby arranged it for my 40th birthday but they could only fit me in the weekend before. As we flew over the hospital, I took photos, and got them developed quickly so that I could share them with Dad when I visited on the Wednesday. He was almost as excited as I was and I took in a stuffed gorilla I called Chopper. It was the last thing we shared, as he had a massive heart attack on the Thursday and never regained consciousness. He died the day after my birthday and I so wish I had gone back that day for a hug.

      • My heart goes out to you for your loss. I’m so glad that your last visit with your dad was filled with joy and love. There’s nothing more cherished by a parent. ❤

      • Chopper was in a mesh hammock over my Mum’s bed for years after he died. When she passed away last year I asked if I could have it. My sister eventually sent it up to me and it arrived the day before my birthday, so it was all neatly linked together.

  4. It was fun reading about you, I hve to agree , you have a wonderful eclectic blog, love it!
