Tea and Honey
Serry (v.)) To crowd closely together)

The smell of dogwood blossom added a charm to the fresco murals in the restaurant where they were meeting for lunch. The tables here weren’t too serry so they could have privacy in their conspiracy.
Their pancakes, dripping with butter and syrup were presented in a neat little basket,
putting a twinkle in their eye.
In ecstasy as the forbidden taste of tea and honey burst forth on her tongue, she pushed the pestering nag of guilt to the furthest recesses of her mind.
She no longer cared if the diet floundered, and neither did her waggish companion judging by the look of sheer bliss written all over her face.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Moderation… is very acceptable. Odd that the mind has to be fooled. Smaller plate, small piece fills the plate and we think we have had enough. Which is probably true. But oh, sometimes to just indulge!

    • I’ve done the smaller plate thing twice now. Drinking a glass of water before meals is also filling. Moderation is indeed the key, and a little of what you fancy. It’s just when you fancy it every day that it could become a problem! Thanks for commenting. 🙂

Also grabbing a piece of fruit or veg instead of that cookie… 😉
But we do need some rewards don’t we?

      • Oh yeah……….. low fat diets meant wine gums, marsh mallows and liquoirce allsorts. Shame about the sugar content (sigh)

      • Jules says:

Dark chocolate is good for you. I switched to Stevia calorie free sweetener for coffee. One survey says a glass of wine a day is good another says if you imbibe daily your a drunk. Really? One day eggs are OK then they aren’t then they are. Arrg. 🙂

      • I know! I like the thought that chocolate is a vegetable as it comes from beans, and beans are veggies! ggrrrrrr!

  2. Ah, such images created by your squiggles and lines. Well, done! (Chocolate – beans! Why didn’t I think of that! HAHA)
