JusJoJan 2019 Daily Prompt – Jan. 2nd, and One-Liner Wednesday

Not exactly one line, but I made it one sentence.

Our neighbour fancied BBQ steak on New Year’s Day which resulted in a burnt out one-use BBQ which in turn burnt through a bread board and melted the  plastic table which now also has a huge hole in it.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! Due to a nightmare of a house sale in 2014, 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat until April 2017. We made strong friendships both on and off the water, and enjoyed swan and duck families for neighbours. Sadly times change and we now reside in a small bungalow a short distance from the beach on the Lincolnshire coast.

Had no choice to press like as there is not a WTF button. Was the table and bread board yours or the neighbours?

    • Theirs. He took his own photo and put it straight on facebook.
The bread board is identical to ours (an inch of solid wood) and it was their picnic table. He cooked the steaks indoors in the end.

We had a neighbour who was having a BBQ once, it started to rain. He decided to put the BBQ in his garage? He had been decorating his house so it was full of paint and turps! Yes huge garage fire , fire engines the lot. Our boys who were about 13, 11 and 3 years at the time thought it was great 🤣💓💜

      • Ha! On the other side, we were planning our first BBQ and it started to rain, so we just got out the umbrellas. Our neighbours thought we were nuts. We weren’t, just hungry!
