It has been an extremely lazy day for us.
Maggie wanted a wee just before 7am so I got up to let her out, then we went back to bed for an hour. It was nice as she doesn’t always settle, and at 8am she wanted to go out to do the Big Stuff. It was quite funny as I heard her nudge Hubby, but he was still half asleep so I got up instead.
It makes a change for him to have a lie in, so I got washed and dressed then took her for a walk round the Avenue. The streets were empty save for two walkers with their dogs, one going into the park and the other up on the beach.
We got back and I made breakfast, after which I settled down to write some letter cards.
We’d taken our trimmings down yesterday and cleaned through the house, discovering we had forty Christmas cards this year which was amazing! A few of our friends had enclosed notes with theirs, so I’d put them to one side to respond to after Christmas.
Dinner today was the second half of our chilli, so that was all prepared. Tomorrow I’ll buy a swede and make a three day stew.
It’s still so incredibly mild, we walked up along the prom to the cafe for tea and cake, posting my letters on the way. I’ve not gone all out to lose those few pounds this week as it’s depressing to try so will set to again properly on Jan 1st. I’ll post my final 2018 Monday Motivation tomorrow though.
I was so tired this afternoon I went back to bed. Hubby can usually nap on the sofa but that doesn’t always work for me, so I kicked off my slippers and Maggie came to keep me company. I awoke an hour and a half later to a cup of tea, then logged into my lap top for the first time today. It was 4 pm!
She’s had another walk so we are settled until around 7pm now. Time to get on with some challenges I think and catch up with my reader.
Only one full day left of the year.
We all need relaxing lazy days to recharge ourselves. Enjoy your day.
🙂
Sounds like a great day
