The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Dec. 22/18

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “tin.” Use it as a word or find a word with “tin” in it, and base your post on that word. Bonus points if you start your post with that word. Enjoy!
Thanks Linda!

Tin Tin was a cartoon character created by Hergé which I always got confused with the much preferred Rin Tin Tin, a German Shepherd dog rescued during World War 1.
The original Rin Tin Tin died in 1932, but subsequent GSDs were named after him, and a TV series developed in the late fifties, though I wouldn’t have seen it until the 60s when my parents got their first TV.
This could be why I love German Shepherds, and although I love Maggie to pieces, GSDs are my favourite breed.

In an obtuse way, Tin Tin has gone full circle as the girls in the darts team yell
‘ ‘Tint in’! when we miss that vital finishing double but are so damn close!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

We had a German Shepherd mix for our first dog and she was magnificent. 🙂

    • I’ve had two, both bitches, losing one to a twisted gut and the other to mammary cancer. Both lovely dogs, though the latter was very nervous and I got her from a rescue when she was 5.
