Little Tree, Big Tree

The trees are up.
This is our little tree as made by my niece when we were in our first house.
It’s been put up every year since, including sitting on the cooker on the boat and on the mantlepiece above the fire the year we house-sat for MSM.

It wasn’t big enough to have lights attached, but I would never part with it. It’s decorated with odd earrings, broken chains, string tinsel, old baubles, beads and our fairy whose head is stuck upright with sellotape.

This is our other tree which we put up in July (left) and last year, our first Christmas here.

We’ve put it on the table in front of the window and I decorated it yesterday while Hubby was up at the launderette.ย  We have a new fairy too.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Little Tree is so precious! Too little to even have lights, that’s a children’s book or movie in the making there!!!!! And the earring decorations! Seriously, this is a story!

Reblogged this on The Spinsta Life and commented:
    Yay for Christmas time!!!!!!

  4. Since no one’s visiting us this year, I didn’t even bother with a tree. I’ll just enjoy everyone else’s – and they can do all the work. Yours are lovely, especially the little one.
