I am Exhausted

I’ve just finished checking my reader and I’m shattered!
It’s almost 1 am, and I have absolutely no inspiration for the Tuesday photoprompts and challenges I usually do, so I have prepared blank posts in my drafts and hope to come back to them later in the week.

Guess I’ve had a kind of burn out with the multi postings every day recently regarding Questions and Answers from various quarters which have been fun to do, but time consuming.
Plus I’ve had a couple of days running around with appointments and everything has been done on a rush. Today, I mean yesterday, was no exception and I didn’t get to open my laptop until almost 6.30! On Monday, I hadn’t got halfway through my reader when there were suddenly 19 new posts to read! I can’t keep up with that kind of volume.

As far as I know, today, ie Wednesday, is likely to be a quiet day, so maybe I can play catch up. There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day to do everything I used to.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I have no idea how some people post so many times a day. You are entitled to time off so enjoy stepping back and try to carve out some time for you to enjoy the holidays.

Hi Di – You really must find a balance with your general lifestyle, otherwise both blogging and your other interests/obligations will be impacted. I am currently doing 3 Post/week which works for me at the present. Perhaps you can do more? Regardless, as long as you are enjoying the basic concept of Blogging, then don’t put stress on yourself “just because”.
I enjoy reading your “life-style” Posts, and would be disappointed if you just burned out as a result of taking on more than you can reasonably cope with. Please think it through carefully. πŸ™‚ C.

Some days you have to be selective as to what you read and comment on, I am, that’s the only way I can deal with the sheer volume that present themselves.

Seems a lot of people are feeling the same way. I know I am. Too much to do, too few hours in the day to do it all.

    • I thought it was just the season with manic shoppers and everything, but I don’t think so.
These days I get tired just trying to find somewhere to park, let alone go into a shop!

  7. Don’t let blogging take over your life. It’s fun, but we all need a break from it occasionally. Rest up and wait for the spirit to return on its own. It will. Been there, done that.
