FOWC with Fandango — Floor

I remember going to a disco with my sister and her future husband, making up a foursome with his friend.
Sis and FH were all over each other, but his friend and I didn’t hit it off, though we were friendly enough towards each other.
The music tempo changed from the smoochy stuff to upbeat and I wanted to dance.
I’m not that good, but I could hold a rhythm then, dipping and twirling with the music.
The dance floor was busy, but I found a space on a slightly raised platform with about half a dozen others. I honestly thought he was behind me, but he turned on a sixpence, went up to the bar and got another drink, just for himself you understand.
The small group of dancers decided to sit down, so I had the little dance floor all to myself and enjoyed the music on my own.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
