Darts result, another lost match.

On the plus side, the games Hubby and I are playing at home now (201 down straight in, double out to improve my finishing skills) are paying off, and I won my singles game tonight.
We were level pegging at 3 each at the end of the singles section and break for supper.
Sausages, chips and beans tonight, and there were loads of bangers left over so I brought some home for Maggie.

One of our girls had a disastrous game last week, so agreed only to play in the doubles tonight.  I suggested she got up and had a few practice throws between matches to get her shoulder loose (she was in a lot of pain last week) and also ‘her eye in’ as we say.
I paired myself with her for the second half and although we didn’t disgrace ourselves, they got their final doubles before we did, so we lost our match.
I matched one winner to one loser for the others and we won one match, hence our score of 5 points to their seven.
We are playing well as a team though, and I’m pleased about that.
We haven’t got a match next week, then we’re home to the current league leaders, and away for the final match of the first round to our furthest venue. After that, we have a mixed pairs cup match (I shall be named marker and hope to put in two, maybe three pairs this time), then we have a two week break for Christmas and New Year.

To be honest, I feel we are NOT playing more than we ARE, but that’s just the way things have been drawn, as we play a game, then get a bye or there’s a cup match so we have two weeks between games!
We could do with a couple more wins though.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
