This week Sarah says we are dipping our toes into the pool of OPPOSITES. Our challenge is all about “opposing forces” and the use of antithesis in our writing. You will need to use the two opposing words in your response – which can be poetry or prose.
Our words this week are:
– simple and complicated
– vowel and consonant
Full details and how to submit your contribution can be found here:

Even though I retired from office work 11 years ago, I still keep my hand in with spreadsheets. It drives Hubby nuts as he can’t make head nor tail of them. Of course for me it’s simple and straightforward. For him, its complicated and confusing, but at the end of the day we are keeping our heads above water and doing OK.
Argh! Vowels (42) and consonants( 56), those dreaded letters from the Scrabble game and for some, a reason to throw a paddy and sulk.
I spent hours checking out two letter words that are acceptable and also the longest all vowel
EUOUAE : a gregorian cadence
and all consonant
CRWTHS : a Welsh (celtic) instrument
words.
Interesting!
Educational and fun! Thanks for joining in again this week 😊
Thanks Sarah 🙂
