This week Rachel gives us a sentence starter.
The room was a mess. The contents of the dresser spilled over the open drawers like a fabric waterfall.
Shoes cluttered the floor and bed, stockings draped from the chair and window blind.
The air was cloudy with talcum powder, which although disguised the smell of old socks, made Abby cough.
Slap bang in the middle of it all was her three year old daughter clutching a ball of writhing fur trying to make its escape.
‘Wasn’t me!’ she sang, smiling that gapped smile that melted the coldest heart.
‘So, what happened?’ Abby repeated.
Meredith giggled and pointed to the cat.
