FFfAW Challenge – 189th

Here we go with another FFfAW challenge!

This week’s photo prompt is provided by Jade M. Wong.
Looking up, she could just see a small face at the window, watching her every move.
The driver took her bag out of the trunk and left it at her feet, such was his haste to get away.
She took in her surroundings, the deserted street, felt the watching eyes, noticed
the stain on the step which held a coppery hue, but she was not deterred.
The contents of her bag rattled when she picked it up.
Touching her fingers to the amulet around her neck, she moved forward, and taking a deep breath, rang the bell.
This was her first exorcism.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

This certainly is creepy. Well described the setting and inner turmoil.

  7. If I hired an exorcist and she turned up looking nervous, I’d be even more so!

  8. Joe Owens says:

One wonders if this is Exorcism 101 or has she accepted a job beyond her abilities.

  9. Tannille says:

Solid scene. Guessing we aren’t dealing with Casper the Friendly Ghost?
