Frank gives us the theme of Reflection this week.

One of my favourite songs from 1969 was Marmalade’s Reflections of My life.
I did a post on it way back in 2014 and how the lyrics reflected on the way my life turned out sometimes.
This was before we bought the boat of course. In fact at the time I wrote it, we didn’t even know we were going to buy a boat!
Now I have different reflective memories, and some of the pictures we took on our travels show the river and marina in all its wondrous glory.

Three wonderful years as liveaboards. Memories are made of this.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Lovely images and a song I’ve not thought about in eons
I played it over and over.
So beautiful and serene. Thanks for sharing
Sometimes the water was just like glass, it was that still. Wonderful to actually be on it.

Oh!!! One of my hope-to-perhaps-someday things! 🙂
You will love it.
Sigh, I bet I would … 🙂
Holiday sometime perhaps? On the River Avon at Stratford, there are Restaurant Boats that take you down river as you dine which are extremely popular.
Ah, perhaps … For a dream that is more of the live-in-a-house-boat-for-a-while thing (and I can cook, so … perhaps the restaurant will be one with a built-in-living-room …). Who knows … 🙂
We did for three years and it was wonderful. Our was a 41 foot long narrowboat, just 6 feet ten inches wide.
