No, we’re not getting divorced!
The home matches in the hall are hotting up as I am still missing my doubles to finish.
If I don’t lose three straight, I may win one of the three.
It’s no good getting a high score if I can’t finish, and quite honestly I deserve to lose.
Blood isn’t exactly flowing (yet), and having spent a small fortune on darts and accessories, I am not going to do what a Super League champion player did many years ago when she lost to my Happy Chappy friend who had only just started playing the game.
She was so outraged, she stormed off the hockey, snapping her darts in half in the process and threw the pieces across the room.
I admit I could cry in frustration sometimes when I cannot finish, and telling myself it’s only a game, better luck next time, all I need is practice and all the usual platitudes isn’t actually working.
I had hoped that the double in double out would help my aim, but it’s not, and I would much rather play 501 down, straight in, double out as we do in our league matches.
