For this week’s theme, Frank asks us to share some insights into Our World, how we see it or something that might catch our or somebody else’s eye!
My theme is Lounging Around, so I’ve used more than one of my photos.
The boat originally had bench seats, but if we had guests, you were forever playing touchy feely with their knees, and if you were seated by the bow doors, you couldn’t get out towards the kitchen unless everyone else got out of the way.
After a year, we decided to have a little revamp, and although it meant losing a bench, we still had seating for four.
Well, we’ve been here a year and have adopted the same principle.
This is how the lounge looked when we first viewed the property in August 2017.
Having no furniture other than a small coffee table, we were like peas rattling around, and thanks to our friends who helped us move with their camper van and gave us two reclining armchairs, by the end of the first week we looked like this.
Gradually we got some bits and pieces together to tide us over until we knew what we wanted to do as regards more permanent furniture.
Now I am really pleased that we didn’t rush into anything, and think the main room of our home is cosy and inviting.
Lovely!
Thanks Paula.

Very simple but cozy enough to comfort tired souls 🙂
Thank you. The best compliment anyone can give me when they visit is to fall asleep! It means they are relaxed and comfortable in our company.
I like the sequence of photos: the slow accumulation of useful things.
Thank you. We loved the boat and it was ideal for the two of us and the dog as everything was built in optimizing the maximum space. It’s nice to have a garden and extra space in the house, but we don’t want to clutter it up! Been there, done that LOL
