Three a Day

It was Hubby’s idea actually. Seemed daft going to all that trouble and then not using it.
Besides, we were both spending too much screen time and needed another outlet.
So, we are now having three games of darts a day,  301 down, double in, double out.
I lost today 2 games to 1, but it was close, especially the final game.
I won yesterday 3 nil, poor Hubby couldn’t get a starting double for ages.
I won 2 games to 1 the day before, he won 2 games to 1 the day before that.
The board is taking a hammering, but the chalk board is holding up well and only has 2 holes in it (that side of the board has never been my good side).

Is all this practice improving my game?
Maybe its improving my aim, but as for the game, well, we shall see.
No darts this week, but it’s the Captain’s Cup next week for the start of the winter league, though I haven’t heard anything yet from the committee about the venue.
Three games a day.
Just keep throwin’ them arrows!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

This is a good idea – gets you away from the screen as you say, and it’s always fun to play games. 🙂

So long as you keep aiming at the board Di, and not each other…lol

  3. Sadje says:

Yup, put away those screens/ phone. Do something else for a change. Give your eyes some rest from all that blue light! 😜

have no idea about darts, but i do check by to see your progress lol

    • Bless you Sarah. It’s good fun and a night out for me so I’m quite happy. At home matches, we walk up with the dog and play a few games together, then Hubby comes home until I ring him to collect me. He can;t sit for long periods, and although Maggie is good, she can be a bit of an attention seeker!
