A prompting we shall go

I’ve been thinking (I know, that could be dangerous) about my blog and whether or not to make any content changes.
I enjoy doing the photo/picture prompts and some of the word challenges too, as the different viewpoints and interpretations have been amazing.
But I’ve been pretty daft about it as I don’t have to do them all, do I? I think that was a problem as I inundated myself and sort of burnt out.
Things I used to write a lot about, like the boat, letters and trips to visit Mum and house-hunting are reminiscent now but I’ve decided to continue more or less as I have been.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it kind of thing.

I’ve done a couple of posts on dog breeds I was unfamiliar with and that has been fun looking them up and finding out a little more about them.
I also thought of using some of my own photos for a poetry prompt as I haven’t written very much lately.

Thanks for all the feedback by the way.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. Funny you should say so…..
I’m rethinking my blog too. I host a prompt but I’ve also participated in a ton of others, mostly photos. I’m cleaning my blog house. I love photography too but, I can include them in my actual posts so no more photo only posts for me. 😊

  2. Your blog is lovely and fun…I’m sure anything you come up with will only add to the enjoyment!

i understand you, challenges are great, but at the same time very stressful, we want to catch up with everyone else that joined the challenge and at the end, we don’t have any energy left to work on our own ideas.

    • I agree Elizabeth. I read a lot of the responses as some are really popular. It all comes down to the amount of time I have, especially if we’ve had an appointment and I don’t access my blog until late. I must admit since I put my recent thoughts out in a post, I’m feeling less stressed! How strange is that?????!
