FOWC with Fandango — Erratic

I’m thinking erratic mood swings and behaviour here.
There’s bound to be some Alphabetic label for it now, but years ago it was simply unpredictability and treading on egg shells around certain people.
I suppose you could describe me as erratic, as there’s no middle level……. I am either happy (most of the time)………………. or not, but on which days is anyone’s guess.

Everyone’s entitled to an off day, but one lassie I worked with was ‘off’ in varying degrees practically every day, and if she was bordering on sociable rather than snappish, we all thought she was going down with something.
That’s not very kind is it, but although a good worker insomuch as getting the job done, she was not a good mixer with other staff, and most of the time was left on her own, which suited her admirably.
However, get her out of the banking environment and you would not believe it was the same person!
Surprisingly enough, we became friends of sorts, and both of us joined the ten pin bowling league one year. Our styles were completely different and our scores inconsistent and erratic from strikes to complete misses, but we had fun.
She met her husband on a bowling lane, nearly took him out with a back swing as she was taking aim. We lost touch in 1978, so I have no idea if they’re still together. I hope so as they were a good match.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
