FOWC with Fandango — Tantalizing

Now why would today’s word instantly register FOOD?
Probably because if we’re walking the dog early, the tantalizing whiff of sizzling bacon (and no that is not bodies bathing on the beach) wafts across our nostrils from either the B&Bs or cafes we pass.
It’s got a smell that automatically makes the taste buds sit up and take notice.
On the other hand, and later in the day, say lunchtime, it’s fish and chips from the chippy down the road. Fish, scampi, chicken, all cooked to order rather than keeping hot, so you get the benefit of a freshly cooked meal. More tantalization assault!
Even walking in the evening has its drawbacks as it’s the heavenly smell of Chinese takeaways that tease and torment our senses.
Ho hum. DIET is a four letter word (F O O D )

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

You made me hungry and long for a town that has cafe’s again. No where except for Village Inn serves breakfast in my town….and I’m not even sure about them.
