Hitting 1700

My number of followers has recently passed the 1700 mark. I am so pleased!
Thank you all for signing on and my regulars for sticking with me.

For the newbies, Hubby and I have been together 29 years, 27 of those as husband and wife. Maggie is our ‘baby’, a thirteen and a half year old border collie cross springer spaniel who is slowing down a bit but tends to forget she’s not a puppy anymore.
We lived on a narrowboat for three years and had a lot of fun, meeting some lovely people and enjoying the laid back life.
We’re what we term UTW, Under Training Wrinklies, as we aren’t quite at retirement age since our government moved the goalposts, and we have to wait until 2021 and 2022 before qualifying for a State Pension (unless the posts are shifted again).

Life is on a strict budget, so I am always looking for ways and means to save a few bob.
It’s good for me as I was a number cruncher in my working life, usually with money, so I’m pretty good at making it work for us.
Interests include card making, cooking, people, dogs, recently rekindled my darts interest, walking, reading, Suduko, music, scrabble, cribbage, and blogging!

It was Hubby’s idea I took up the latter, and I never imagined I would have quite so much to say, have opinions on so many subjects, or learn so much! I love doing the challenges, and my blog will be FIVE (!!) come September 1st.
So here’s wishing you a big HELLO, come on in, dig around and please feel free to comment. I appreciate constructive criticism as I believe it improves my writing skill.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
