This is Sue’s photoprompt this week:

It was a place where dreams and wishes came true,
In solitude you told your yearnings to the trees,
Wherein magical beings listened and granted your heart’s desire.
It was sacred and vibrant, colours of every hue,
Its beauty simply stunned and brought you to your knees,
Until carelessness destroyed all by fire.
It has recovered but its secrets are long gone,
The landscape muted, no longer strong,
No more whisperings in the still of night,
Just a copse reflected in black and white.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Great job!
Thanks Ritu. Like the new pic by the way.
Thank you 😍

I always find peace in the ‘Centre’ especially in stone circles.. Beautiful words.. thank you for sharing them. Came via Sue Vincent….
Blessings
Sue
Hello Sue. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. In the days when you could approach the stones at Stone Henge, they were amazingly warm and smooth to touch.
While I have never been to Stonehenge.. I have been to several other circles.. Do you know of the Nine Ladies Stone circle on Stanton Moor in Derbyshire. They are a few scattered about I have stood in the centre of.. And you are welcome.. ❤
I’m afraid I’m not familiar with the Derbyshire Stones Susan. I think some of these circles could speak volumes if we only knew how to tap into their knowledge.
I am sure if you google nine ladies you will see them in images.. And yes the energies when one is sensitive we can feel.. And yes the ancient knowledge has long been forgotten.. As has the capabilities of our own thought-waves and hearts.. ❤
I will indeed look them up Susan. thank you.
Please call me Sue… Susan my Sunday name 😉
Thanks Sue. I’m Di by the way Please to meet you.
And you Di… And I hope to get to look more within your blog… I am today sat in my reader for most of today.. I have not been in WP for a while so on a massive catch up today.. So I look forward to exploring.. 🙂
Please do Sue. Hopefully you’ll enjoy some more of my poetry and a few other things. 🙂
Reblogged this on S C Richmond.
thanks for the reblog
It’s easy to reblog when the writing is so good. Thank you.
Once again, thank you!
This is just beautiful 💜
Hi Willow. Thanks for commenting. I’m glad you liked it.
A lovely poem, Di…though this place definitely still whispers…
There are quite a few place like that, we often though the forest was ‘talking’ to us.
I think it does. Scientists have found the ‘heartbeat’ of trees…know they communicate with each other… why not with us too, if we are listening? 😉
Exactly.

Thought I’d reblog this from two years ago.
We once organised a treasure hunt and came across something like this in the forest which we used as one of the clues. Not as stunning as Sue’s photo though. Thoughts are with her today.
