FOWC with Fandango — Modern

Fashion and all mod cons have never really interested me.
Sure I like the perks of an automatic washing machine and a microwave, but today’s technology frightens me, mainly because I don’t understand it and unlike the youngsters of today, I wasn’t brought up in the computer age with PC screens at school.
We have a four year old car, which I suppose is ‘modern’ and our way of life involves laptops and a mobile phone.

As for being ‘modern’, I suppose my wardrobe is so outdated, flares will eventually come back into fashion and I’ll be ‘with it’.
As for modern music, I can surprise people by knowing the words of re-released classics or covers of yesteryear, but most of the stuff I hear today is bad language on a continuous tuneless note and not much else.
We call it Bungalow Music……….. all bottom and nothing on top.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I have the theory that many people stop following fashion at some point because we have had it all already, it just comes back as “retro”
