This is my effort for this week’s challenge

Our photo prompt is provided by Ted Strutz.

It was the same every day, always too late to catch the first ferry and had to wait in line for the next. The crossing took twenty minutes, loading and unloading another twenty each, so that was an hour.
How he wished there was some other route he could take instead of just sitting here waiting with the rest of the regular crowd.
Hello? What’s this?
The guy in the HGV had opened the back of his truck and was handing out free sodas!
‘It’s OK,’ he said cheerfully. ‘I got the OK from management to do this. Good PR they said.
Sorry I can’t offer spirits, but a cool drink on a hot day has surely got to lift ours. Cheers everyone!’

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Hahaha! Sounds like the sodas have saved his temper! LOL! Great story!
Thanks Joy.
Is that a picture of your dog? He’s cute!
The picture on my site icon is Maggie, and the one Hubby used when he did a portrait of her for our bucket art on the boat. There are lots of pictures of her in my blog posts, including my header combi. She’s 13 and a half now, but still thinks she a pup sometimes.
Aw, how sweet! She is a pretty dog! I hope for her to have a long life!
Us too, but she’s getting on now, arthritic, going deaf, the beginning of cataracts and a few lumps and bumps we’re keeping an eye on. But her quality of life is good, she’s alert, playful, eating and drinking OK so hopefully she should be with us for a few years yet.
She sounds pretty healthy so I think she should too!
She’s doing OK. Thanks.
Something to break the monotony. Good story.
Thanks Neel.
Nice gesture on a hot day. Good publicity too.
Sometimes that’s all it takes.
Is the soda alright, 😉
Hope so!
