It was too dark to take a decent picture last night, so I took some this morning.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
What a great garden space. I wish my green beans looked as neat and tidy as yours.
They’re getting away fro us a bit now, starting to go down the wigwam on the other side. Must confess I couldn’t tell you how many beans we planted in the end because nothing happened with our second and third plantings (the first died) so we chucked in a variety and suddenly they all started to shoot\!
It must have been in my mind because just now I went and harvested about 100 green beans!! But they are just growing crazy! I havn’t learned how to do that smart wigwam thing. I need to do more research!
Hubby put in 6 x 8 foot length canes in a semi circle, pushed them all together at the top and then tied them with heavy duty string. My grandfather used to do his on string rows between two posts, making a kind of mesh for them to twine and twist around. Love runner beans. Could eat them all day.
Thank you so much for this information. I will keep it in mind for next season.
Glad to help.
Wow, if all looks amazing!
Thanks!
Impressive. Apples – how cool is that! (Much too hot a region for those to ever grow here)
If the plants are responding and growing so well, you’ve been approved and are in the right place
The soil they were in wasn’t doing them any favours, dried to a crisp in this heat or completely waterlogged and non draining in the wet. We’ll get it right. At least the garden looks 1000% better than it did ten days ago
