Lots of us post several items a day and I wonder if we just get on with it or plan ahead.
For me, it depends on what time of the day I access my site, the mood I’m in, and what other plans are on the cards for the day.
It also depends on what kind of blogging challenges are up for grabs, be they word or photoprompts, short stories with word limitations, challenges requiring interpretation or use of a list of words, or general posts I love to read and comment on.
I like to respond to comments first, then go through my reader and see what’s coming in.
Sometimes I try to take things in the order I read them, but never seem to get to the end of the current stuff before more posts are announced, sometimes as many as 20 before I’ve finished my response to half a dozen!
I had another bad night, waking up at 12.45, then again at 3.10 and the dog got me up at 5.
I let her out, but the little minx didn’t do anything, so we went back to bed. She got me up again at 6, desperate this time, so sleepily grumpy, or grumpily sleepy, I got dressed and walked her round the Avenue.
She did both businesses, everything normal, and I was back in bed within 20 minutes.
However, she then got Hubby up just after 7, so he took her out and she walked him almost into town! More businesses, so I guess she’s been storing them up.
He got back at 7.45, by which time I was getting up anyway, and we put the washing on.
The agenda today was shopping for curtains for the spare bedroom (we already have a pair in our room and they work), 2 new pillows as Hubby’s are like pancakes which are not helping his reflux at night, and a spray bottle for Maggie. I also wanted some fresh fruit from the supermarket, and knowing it was
a) going to be hot again today and
b) the supermarket here would be chaotic and stripped by the holidaymakers by 10am,
we went out early.
The spray bottle is to give Maggie an instance spritz when she gets too hot, without having to resort to the shower hose outside or a full shower indoors. She doesn’t react to the spray which dispenses a fine mist and is ideal. She’s curled up on her new cushion with her babies giving it ZZZZZsss at the moment.
Dinner today was the other half of my twofer chilli with a jacket spud and mixed veg. We are now having our main meal between midday and 1pm as this seems to help Hubby’s digestion. I’ve also cut down our portion size.
Thus I didn’t get to look at my site until the early afternoon.
I’ve prepared the basics of five challenges in drafts ready to play with (photos and linkages for easy return to add my own link when posted) and will set to shortly.
I have done one post already today though. Inspiration at first sight!
First, time to make a sandwich as it’s nearly five o’clock and Hubby tries not to eat anything after 6.
