29th July: FOWC with Fandango — Unknown

Fandango’s word prompt today is UNKNOWN.

I’ve seen two movies with this title: both about memory loss, but totally different takes, and both very good.

2011 : Unknown is a 2011 psychological action film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, starring Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, January Jones, Aidan Quinn.
Love the way the bad guys get their comeuppance.

2006: Unknown is a 2006 American mystery thriller film directed by Colombian filmmaker Simon Brand and starring Jim Caviezel, Greg Kinnear, Bridget Moynahan, Joe Pantoliano and Barry Pepper.
Nice twist at the end of this one.

There are probably a few more with Unknown in the title, but these two stick in my mind.

Every day is Unknown.
The only thing we know for sure is that it has a title of one of seven.
We have a routine, an inkling of what is going to happen or what our plans are for that particular day, but Hubby and I know from past experience that if we plan anything, it never works out!

Do I like the unknown?
Maybe I’m curious enough to find out, as I did almost thirty years ago answering that ad.
I didn’t know if I would be meeting a maniac or a saint, but I took a chance.
We were both unknown entities to each other, but it was fun learning and worked for us.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
