Tired and exhausted

It’s hot and everyone’s uncomfortable.
It’s gone 11 pm and the temperature here in the bedroom is 24ºC (76ºF)
We have the windows and interior doors open and there is a threat of thunder later.
Buddy doesn’t like it, and Maggie isn’t much better, so I hope it doesn’t arrive.

I’m exhausted, having come to bed just before 8pm when we finished our game of scrabble. I was suffering from the attack of the vowels again (first pick up 6 of the damn things and by the time the game finished, my rack showed 5 Is, an E and a U with nowhere to put them. I lost. Big time.
The dictionary is good though, so I’m pleased I bought it.

Going to bed early doesn’t always work for me though. Once again I’m unable to switch off and after an hour and a half, I gave up and got the laptop up and running.
Two posts, with photos, are scheduled for tomorrow now which I hope you’ll like.

Plans for tomorrow are a trip into Louth.
Being Sunday, the shops don’t open until 10 o’clock, so no early start this time. I’m looking forward to a shower first thing.
There’s a nice little wood on the way so we can stop there and walk the dogs.
Dinner is going to be chicken curry without sultanas as MOH doesn’t like them in curry. He bought some gooseberries today and with our half a dozen on the bush (hurrah!) I’m making crumble for dessert.
I’ve got a little bit of shopping to do as I’m using the last of my chicken for dinner. Other than that, I think we’ve all eaten pretty well and I haven’t run out of anything!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
