‘Hey Mom! Dad’s on TV!’
Her son turned the volume up.

”Police are wanting to question the driver of this vehicle in connection with a robbery at City and Town’s Bank three days ago. Please call the number on the bottom of your screen if you can assist with their enquiries.”

Amilla was shaking so much it was a wonder the milk in the carton in her hand didn’t turn to butter. Ali had told her he had a special job on and would be out of town for a few days.

She heard the key in the latch and flew out of the kitchen, her face awash with worry and tears.
‘Hey! What’s up?’
She pointed to the TV.
‘Yeah. I know. I’ve got to make a phone call. Lucky I was driving a company van rather than my taxi. The damn thing was stolen from the yard Tuesday morning.’

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
