100 word Wednesday, week #75

Thanks to Bikurgurl for supplying us with the photo below to inspire us to 100 words.
Cameras were snapping taking selfies at every turn.
It was a security nightmare.
He’d donned cape and cap to blend in, though he hadn’t graduated in anything in his life.
He’d made a small mistake by forgetting the yellow silk sash, but no-one seemed to notice.
That was until he was approached by an inconspicuous woman asking for ID.
He took out his wallet and fumbled for his licence, her peering across his chest as he did so, her partner moving in behind him.
He didn’t stand a chance now as she’d blown his cover.
‘Who hired you?’ she hissed.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! Due to a nightmare of a house sale in 2014, 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat until April 2017. We made strong friendships both on and off the water, and enjoyed swan and duck families for neighbours. Sadly times change and we now reside in a small bungalow a short distance from the beach on the Lincolnshire coast.
